Yahoo! recently acquired Koprol to drive the next wave of internet and mobile development in Indonesia and across Asia. Koprol allows members to discover new people and places in the world, and is looking to add new team members who are passionate about community, geo-location and mobile technology.

Developer's Minimum Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical experience
• Professional software engineer with a record of shipping excellent product
• Great communicator, enjoys helping people, remains friendly and constructive under stress
• Understands deployment issues in highly scaled social web applications
• Productive coder, able to work effectively with object-oriented design
• Able to read and understand other people’s code as easily as you write your own
• Meticulous, self-motivated, and able to multi-task in a fluid environment

Positions & Qualifications:

1. Back End Developer

• Experience with Java, scripting, Linux/unix environment, web services development are highly desirable.

2. Java ME / BlackBerry Developer

• Good knowledge of Blackberry JDE 4.5 and above, BIS, Java ME, MIDP / CLDC
• Having commercially deployed applications is a plus

3. Android Developer

• Good knowledge of Google Android SDK
• Having commercially deployed applications is a plus

4. iPhone Developer

The good news is the server upgrade we did last midnight was completed.

The bad news is we found a couple of bugs that's quite bad. One is an error in the message queue which affects those who crosspost to Twitter. Posts from days ago just appeared on their timeline.

Second, there is an error in the direct messages. There are several reports that users can see direct messages between other people. This is a big flaw and we apologize for the inconvenience and damage it may cause. We take direct messages very seriously and have been fixing it all morning and will make sure it doesn't happen again. Sorry, and please stay with us because we have much better news ahead.

Update 11.09: To ensure this bug is fixed, we might need to lose private messages sent this morning (around 4am to 6am). So sorry. We hope to get this fixed and Koprol up soon.

Hari Minggu, 2 Mei 2010, kami kopdar bareng finalis SOYJOY Healthylicious di Black Canyon Coffee di Cipete Selatan, Jakarta.

Remember SOYJOY Healthylicious? Program online-reality show pertama di Indonesia ini sudah berlangsung sejak February 2010, dimana para finalis-nya gunakan Koprol dan juga social media platform lainnya untuk update kegiatan mereka, sharing informasi tentang produk-produk Soyjoy dan galang vote untuk dapat terpilih jadi 2 finalis yang terbang ke Jepang!

Acara yang lumayan dadakan ini juga salah satu challenge party Soyjoy-nya Aria dimana dia undang teman-temannya dan dua finalis Soyjoy lainnya, Dimas dan Natalie, yang juga Koprollers untuk ngumpul seru bareng di acara ini.
